- The terminal emulator/downloader file for the XDS is OFFIBM for the
- IBM pc and OFFTI for the TI pc. A general description of these is
- given in the file OFFLOAD.TXT on this disk. To use either of these,
- the XDS is connected through port A of the host (user port).

- The front panel switches are set as follows:

- S4
- 7=0
- 6=1
- 5=1
- 4=0
- 3=0
- 2=1
- 1=0

- S3
- 7=0 FOR THE TI-PC THIS SHOULD BE 1
- 6=1
- 5=1
- 4=1
- 3=0
- 2=1
- 1=1 FOR THE TI-PC THIS SHOULD BE 0

- where 1=switch down into on state
- and 0=off state

- The RS232 cable should have pins 1-8,11,and 20 connected straight through.

- Set the transmission on the pc to 9600 baud, even parity, 7 data bits, and
- 1 stop bit.

- Execute as:

- offibm hexfile
- offti hexfile

- Press return to get the XDS menu. Select the INIT function.

- Use the IHC command to set the download end character to control/t.
- None of the other control characters are significant.

- Then select the DL function to download.

- Source=user

- If a FORMAT query is presented select TEK format.

- Type the INS key to initiate download.

- When the download is complete you should get the prompt *. You may have
- to type a key to get the XDS prompt. Do not type space bar at this point!
