  1. The terminal emulator/downloader file for the XDS is OFFIBM for the
  2. IBM pc and OFFTI for the TI pc.  A general description of these is
  3. given in the file OFFLOAD.TXT on this disk.  To use either of these,
  4. the XDS is connected through port A of the host (user port).

  6. The front panel switches are set as follows:

  10. 6=1
  11. 5=1
  12. 4=0
  13. 3=0
  14. 2=1
  15. 1=0

  19. 7=0        FOR THE TI-PC THIS SHOULD BE 1

  25. 1=1        FOR THE TI-PC THIS SHOULD BE 0

  27. where 1=switch down into on state
  28. and 0=off state

  30. The RS232 cable should have pins 1-8,11,and 20 connected straight through.

  32. Set the transmission on the pc to 9600 baud, even parity, 7 data bits, and
  33. 1 stop bit.

  39. offti hexfile

  41. Press return to get the XDS menu.  Select the INIT function.

  43. Use the IHC command to set the download end character to control/t.
  44. None of the other control characters are significant.

  46. Then select the DL function to download.

  53. If a FORMAT query is presented select TEK format.

  55. Type the INS key to initiate download.

  57. When the download is complete you should get the prompt *. You may have
  58. to type a key to get the XDS prompt.  Do not type space bar at this point!
